Your Guardian Angel Your Best Friend Artemis 'Don't Leave Me Now' Gracefull steps landed one after the other, delicate head tucked in, ears fell forward, body carried with care. One hoof over the other, slowly stepping into a gracefull moonlit dance. Mane and Tail glided with the blue-black and silver body as the young mare danced gracefully around the meadow.
She knew this place was safe, no Northern horses would bother coming this far to harm her, Pale hooves left little trace in the earth as she preformed the lonesome yet gracefull dance. The fll moon was set high in the sky and the young mare showed no fear here.
A gentle breze blew through the area, picking up the black mane and tail of the mare and blowing it like a banner. Leaves picked up and got kicked around her legs, tail swung mane flew, body, soul and mind danced under the moonlit sky on this ine autum night.

A.P.O.L.L.Ox [x] you run like the river... Autumn is here. And everyone know what season follows autumn. The dreaded Winter. Of course, it rarely gets cold here, for this place is beautiful. It really is heaven on earth. The place I am headed now, well, let's just say it's breathtaking. All yeah round, beautiful flowers bloom, different types too, depending on the season. So right now, there would be lot's of autumn flowers. Newly bloomed. Excellent.
Whenever I travel, I feel pride. The pride burns through my bones and makes me happy, I own these lands, I provide shelter and sanctuary for mares and stallions alike. No Northern stallions come here to hurt mares, and most of the stallion's here live in peace with each other. It makes me happy every time I meet another equine, and they thank me for keeping them safe. Yet, every joy has it's downers. For instance, every time see a mare, I usually think of all the poor mares, still stuck in the captive lands. But tonight was too beautiful for such ugly thoughts,
The full moon was making everything light up, and I new the meadow would look really pretty in the white light. I smiled, in truth, the moon was my enemy. For I Apollo, named after the Sun God, worshiped the Sun. Along with every other Southern horse. The dark horses of the North, they worshiped the moon.
As I entered the meadow, I stopped, my palomino coat glowing as I watched the mare dance around. She was very, very pretty. Her coat was a silvery-blue in color, and it looked very nice in the moonlight. I stood still and quiet, waiting for the vixen to notice me. I wouldn't disturb her dance. She was a very good dancer. I had seen her around the lands a couple of times, but I was usually busy, and I rarely had time to stop and chat. Tonight was one of those rare occasions where I could do whatever I pleased.

Your Guardian Angel Your Best Friend Artemis 'Don't Leave Me Now' And as she danced on gentle and gracefull, Someone came, Unsure is she should run and not turn to face him, or if she should turn to see who it was. She felt safe, It wasn't anything like how it felt when the dark Norhtern equines stood before you.
Slowly turning, her dance now complete Artemis found herself standing in the presence of the Southern lord, his name always slipped by her, but everyone seemed to know of his magnificent discription. Smiling lightly to the stallion, before speaking in a light femenin tone to him. "Hello good sir"
From here she fell into a deep bow, only to stay there for a inuet before raising to look at the magnificent stallion before her. His golden coat reflected the liht of the moon perfecty, But now was for an introduction. "I am Blessed with the name Artemis. May I learn your calling sir."

A.P.O.L.L.Ox [x] you run like the river... I felt a sigh escape my lips as I watched her dance, she was a good dancer. She could perform for a living, she would get a hell of a lot out of it. I felt a frown cross my face as I thought about what a Northern stallion would do if they had come across her dancing. I knew one thing, she would be dancing for them, and only them, and she probably wouldn't look so dang pretty anymore either. I smiled at her as she turned to look at me, realising I was there. "Good evening M'Lady," I replied.
I always felt a flicker of unease everytime mares and stallions bowed before me, it made me feel like they were afraid of what I would do to them if they weren't polite. "Excuse me miss, but you don't need to bow before me, just because I'm your leader doesn't make me any better than any other stallion here," I smiled at her name, before laughing, my soft gentle laugh, so as not to scare her. "Well Artemis, my name is Apollo, and in human Mythology, I am your sister," he laughed again at how ironic it was that Apollo should meet Artemis in a medow at night.

Your Guardian Angel Your Best Friend Artemis 'Don't Leave Me Now' Smiling at his comment, she knew there was no huge nead to bow before anyone, but done it purly out of respect and love of others. "Sir I bow before you through respect, but if you wish that I stop then I will not argue your request."
Smiling and walking afew gracefull steps toward the stallion so the space between them weren't quite so great. His name was one related to her own, and still her smile stayed in it's place. Laughing gently before speaking "What a coincendence to meet one another beneath the Full moon"
Her tail 'hung' behind her, her ears stood forward, her eyes watched the handsome stallion before her, Her smile never faded, and never did she consider lettin it hide. "So what brings you here on such a beautifull evening sir?" A simple question that would hopefully lead to some form of conversation between them.

A.P.O.L.L.Ox [x] you run like the river... I refused to stop smiling as I watched her come nearer to me. "Thank you Artemis, and there is no need to call me sir, you may call me Apollo," I told her calmly, wondering what made her so polite. But then again, it was just in some horses nature to be polite. I laughed at her words, "Yes, it really is a coincidence that we should meet, after all, there are many mares in these lands, so it is unusual that we should meet. Maybe it is destiny?" I laughed again, shaking my head, I didn't believe in destiny, I believed we made our own destiny's.
"What brings me here you ask? Well, M'lady, the stars have lured me out. and about, it seems they have drawn me to you, Artemis, yes, t'was simply the beauty of the night, it made me want to walk, and see if any were out, that was when I found you, and saw you dancing, you are a fantastic dancer dear,"
My words flowed out easily, and I was quite surprised with how easy it was to talk to this mare I had just met. I was glad, I hated awkward conversations.

Your Guardian Angel Your Best Friend Artemis 'Don't Leave Me Now' She allowed for a small laugh to pass her lips, but not in a bad way, but more agreeing with what Apollo had said about the night. "It really is a beautifull night." she had to give him that, the night was amazing. Even if the moon was of there known enemy Artemis found most nice evenings that the sky would be a pleasure to dance beneath.
His commant about her dancing came slightly as a shock, some had said something here and there before but none really paye attetion enough to fully notice her. "Why thank you si... Apollo." It was strange, she nearly called every male she met 'sir' but when they wished that there names be used instead she like most other things wouldn't argue.
"It's a shame that some of the most beautifull nights are those of the winter month." She said thinking that this may be the last nice evening she could enjoy before the winter months rolled in. After all, there were onlyso many days before the rains would come. So this night would be one to rember.

A.P.O.L.L.Ox [x] you run like the river... I smiled as she laughed, she had such a nice laugh. Even as we spoke, the far of sounds of distant Thunder echoed, and in the distance, lightning lit up the night sky. "Yes, it is a shame, for often it is too cold to travel, I myself prefer to shelter in old human dwellings during colder times, and it looks like those cold times will soon be upon us." I sighed and looked back at where the storms had been. I deffiantly preffered spring and summer opposed to autumn and winter.
I smiled and gently nosed a flower on the ground, "I am going to miss the flowers this winter, they have bloomed well this year, I'm suprised they lasted this long, but it is still warm yet. I do hate to say this, but I belive our warm weather will be leaving us shortly. It's times like this I wish I were a draft with a thick coat, I bet they have no trouble staying warm!"

Your Guardian Angel Your Best Friend Artemis 'Don't Leave Me Now' She could but giggle lightly at his last given comment about drafts, well she wasn't of pure bloodlines, but she had some of the draft bloodlines. Her coat wasn't thick at all, just what any smaller horse would get throughout the winter. "You know drafts may have one bonus, but during the summer months think of the downsides. I am of draft bloodlines, but still find the winters harsh. Company would be the greatest cure, but life happens and when it dose you know about it."
She soon felt truly lonely, hinking for a short time on the storm, the fight that took place years ago, and what her fellow herd mates may be suffering now. Shaking her head lightly and pullng her smile back she looksat Apollo. "Sounds like a storm is coming." She said, there were a number of places you could go to hide from a storm, but really she didn't care now She had great company for the time being, and unaware as to how long she would be allowed in his presence Artemis would make to most of this time.

A.P.O.L.L.Ox [x] you run like the river... I chuckled at her words, how true they were. "Yeah, your right, I think I would rather be cold that hot, at least I can get through the cold, but I should think I would suffocat underneath a draft's pelt," I smiled down at the groand, tossing my mane, imagining just how much those poor draft's must suffer. "I wouldn't be suprsied if most drafts live in the north where is is always cooler than here,"
I wasn't keen on drafts, for they were all larger than myself, and what I said was true, most drafts did live in the North, for they were better at surviving the the cold temperatures. At the mention of the storm I nodded. "Yes, it sure does, have you got a place to stay? I don't want you caught out in it Artemis," the concern in my voce was obvious, but I didn't mind, she could freeze if she stayed out here. I wouldn't let that happen to any mare under my protection.

Your Guardian Angel Your Best Friend Artemis 'Don't Leave Me Now' Giving a light giggle at him thinking about sufocating beneath a drafts pelt Artemis closed the space between them just a little, for they had been talking to one another over at least five feet of ground, it looked like they were fighting or something as a pose to talking.
Reaching her muzzle out to touch his gently in a friendly manner, then ducked back as the concern in his voice hit her like a ton of bricks. he really was such a great lead horse, but she couldn't lie to him, she had nowhere fixed that she wuld rest.
"No I don't really have anywhere that I can st out the storm, It's only really because i'm never really welcomed ino an area for long enough to settle down." She lowered her head, again thinking momentarily on the fight, then brushing the thoughts way as quickly as they had come she looks back up to Apollo with a half smile on her lips.

(I was sure I had replied to this sorry for the wait) A.P.O.L.L.Ox [x] you run like the river... I smiled slightly as she came a little closer, it felt better to be closer together, like we were friends, not two equines, who had just met, and were unsure of eachother. I wanted her to be my firend, she seemed very nice. I smiled as she touched my muzzle, and instead of pulling back when she did, I folloeed, sighing. Her reaction had gave me the impression she had nowhere to go while the weather turned. Her lyrics confirmed my thoughts.
My orbs locked onto hers, the concern showing, somtimes I hated my eyes, they gave away everything about me. "Well you are very welcome to stay with me in my cave, I have a cave, it isn't very large, but it is large enough, and with the two of us together we shall keep warm, and it is sheltered enough from the elements,"
I wanted her to stay with me, I feared for her life. It was often in bad weather that tree's were felled, and the thought of her beautiful body, wrecked beneath a tree trunk, never to dance again made me shudder. No, that would not happen to her.

Your Guardian Angel Your Best Friend Artemis 'Don't Leave Me Now' She returned her muzzle to rest it near his as he followed er sudden movement away from his muzzle, breathing slowly and calmly Artemis listened carefully as he spoke unsure how to reply. She would likley accept his offer more out of good nature than anything else. But it was more how to phrase her reply.
Looking into his worried eyes she knew she would have to accept his offer and spend the night with him in his cave, if it were easyer to refues eyes as worried as his and a soul as kind as his she would have said that she would be fine, but that seemed impossible.
"I will gladly accept your offer Apollo. But please don't worry for me, and i it is not me you worry for who is it?" She was calm and gentle with the words she chose unsure if they came across the way she had wanted them to.

A.P.O.L.L.Ox [x] you run like the river...
I sighed with relief as she accepted my offer, my cave was but a few hours away. We would get there before the storm broke. Her question confused me slightly, I cocked my head and looked at Artemis. "Sorry, but I don't understand your question, perhaps you could explain while we walk to my cave?"
I smiled at her again, before turning and walking away from the beautiful meadow. Once again the far off rumble of Thunder clashed, and I frowned slightly. Although it rarely snowed down south, it rained a lot during these seasons. Sometimes the lands were prone to flooding, this could be the last time I looked at the meadow in a while.
My hooves slowly carried me away, through a small wood as I waited for her to follow. I wasn't sure if she actually wanted to come with me, or if she was only coming because I asked her too. Well, she could back out if she wanted, I was just worried about her wellbeing.

Your Guardian Angel Your Best Friend Artemis 'Don't Leave Me Now' She had confused herself, but hehelped to confuse her more, the distant crack of thunder dragged her back to now for just a moment Artemis had become distracted on how to say what she had previously said without it ecoming confusing. "I could see your worry for another, and with what you had said it came naturally to guess it was myself. But if I was wrong, I wished to know who it was you held worry for.
Okay maybe a little confusing even when put like that but she now knew what she ment a little better than before. Picking up her hooves to follow slowly behind the stallion. Catching up with him and taking carefull steps she hung around near his shoulder but not right near his head. More out of respect than anything else, yes he had requested her to not use the calling 'sir' but he had not requested anything more.
